We chose the Wicklow Heather for our wedding because we adore Glendalough and were enamoured by this intimate and gorgeously decorated restaurant right in the valley. We had a guestlist of 70 and filled their writers room perfectly. There was just about space for all the guests to move about and mingle and the room opened up nicely for music and dancing later in the night, but the atmosphere that the intimate room provided set the night apart from so many weddings I've attended. There was no need for mics for the speeches and we felt so close to all of the guests, it really made those moments more special. The food was the star of the evening. We heard so many positive comments from our guests about the quality and the staff were extremely accommodating with us about the menu every step of the way. They really made us feel like they wanted us to have the best night we could. In fact they really took all the stress out of the process from day one. I can't imagine how they could have been more helpful and open. Couldn't recommend the Wicklow Heather more if you are looking for a venue that will feel intimate and private and totally easy. The food, the staff and the lush decoration gave the wedding a boutique feel.

The Wicklow Heather and their team were such a great help in providing us with a beautiful, very tasty and seamless dinner on our wedding day. The whole room we had rented out fitted all 60 of us perfectly, the atmosphere was very fun and also relaxed, exactly what we wanted. I very much recommend the Heather for anyone who wants to incorporate it into their day.

I have a massive family so a small, intimate wedding was the dream and we were able to do that during Covid because we were only allowed have 50 guests. We needed somewhere and the Wicklow Heather were happy to accommodate. My guests still talk about it to this day, one of the things they say all the time is it was the best wedding food they have ever had and I have to agree, the food was some of the best I've ever eaten. The service was also second to none and all the team at the Wicklow Heather worked so hard to make sure we had the perfect day. I cannot thank all the staff at the Wicklow Heather enough, they made our day absolutely perfect. Honestly wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day. Best wedding ever.
